Morning- Woke up ate at the hotel. And drove over to the race. Felt good, and ready to roll. Did a 2 mile warm up, got my spikes and went over the starting line.

Race Report- This part is where I hate. Everyone thinks the first 500 meters if the most important part and takes out at a dead sprint, so I took out pretty well. Anyways. The first 1,000 meters. This kid tripped, and got spiked a lot (he was screaming, like a bloody murder scream!) The pack slowed down a lot, and I found out why. They were jumping over him, and I got pushed over, and tripped, and basically landed on my face. I lost about 5-10 seconds on my time, due to this. And I was mad I fell! I was ticked in fact! And so I started pushing, and elbowing back to kids that pushed me over, when I caught back up to them. I then came around the first lap. Pretty tired, and started moving on the second lap. Falling made me loose a lot of placing, and timing. And the 2 mile marker was 11:00. Which was pretty good, but I wanted it to be around 10:45. So a little faster. But anyways going up the hill was killer, I was pretty tired, and about 800 meters left (a little before the hill) some kid wouldn't let me through, so I elbowed him a little, and he went with me for about 400 meters. And we started having a little elbow fiesta! It started ticking me off, and so I elbowed him back, but then he got me back twice as hard. And I just through a surge in, and never saw him again. But I was really tired, the last 200 meters. I started my kick about 400 to go, and picked up the pace, and then 50 meters left coming down home stretch, I was 4th on the team, and Nick, and Paul come flying by me, at this insane sprint. And beat me by 0.6, and 0.002...... Dang it! I was soo mad, because I got the worst seat on the ride home! >:( But I think this race was a pretty good building step in the right direction. Way better than last race at Herriman. But Live, Learn, and move on. I got spiked on my leg pretty bad, and a lot of blood was drippinp out. And we got interviewed as a team, and that was pretty cool. Team took 14th overall in the Elite Race. Pretty good day. 1 mile cool down.
