Morning- Nice and easy 3 miles. Yoga was good too.
Afternoon- 2 mile warm up. Got my spikes on and just focused on pushing the 200 part (first curve, and back stretch). First lap was 1:09, and then 1:13 pace died a lot. So I came by the 800 meter mark at 2:22, and then the 3rd was 1:13 again coming by at a 3:35. I felt ok about that. But that needs a lot of work. And then in my mind I just kept thinking 60 seconds for the last lap. And my 1,200-1,400 meters was really fast or felt like a was flying. I really pushed here. I passed Colton and Nick here. And then on the last 200 I pushed as hard as I could. And then the last 100 meters Nick comes flying by me, and I tried matching his pace, but he got me by a WHOLE second. I tried my best the last lap. And I only finished at a 4:44. But it's a start! And my 2nd half was a 2:22. So even splits was good. 2 mile cool down after. 8x100 meters striders after. And then had weights. And then went to Dixie to talk to the Coachs about joining the team. And so far I think I am on the roster! So that's sweet!
