Morning- 4 miles with David. We did the 4 miles in 28:06. So 7:01.5 average. We went like 6:30 atleast on the last mile. We just wanted to get done. But glad I got it in. We start team practice up again! I am ready for this upcoming track season, and I am soo excited! I have been putting some serious thought into track. And I have a goal of having a stress free season.

Afternoon- 6 miles with the team around the loop of sunrise. Sunrise has a giant hill, and it wasn't as bad as I thought. But I had to recover at the top of the hill with the team slowing down. And then we were started picking up the pace. And it felt like normal pace. But we started dropping into the sub 7's. :) Guess I am in better shape than I thought I was. I was kinda scared for a 6 miler. But not bad at all!

Afternoon- 6.35 miles. I had to run early, because I had work at 3. But I started to run the sandburgs run. And then I ran around the streets just kinda sig-zag through. And then I ran the normal dogtown loop. And that was 4.5 miles. I then started to run around the high school. And coach yelled my name. And I did grass laps with him for a mile or so. And then that was it.

Noon- Ran with Krenny, Dave, and Abel. It was fun. We met at Sullivan park. And ran on some trail. Today was supposed to be "easy mileage". But we ended up going a little bit fast at the end. First mile 7:15, 7:04, 7:04, and 6:15. :) haha, oops!

Afternoon- 5.75 miles. 2 mile warm up. And 2x1 miles at 85%. Pace goal was 5:48. Times were 5:47, and 5:37. I felt like I wasn't even working on the first mile. But we had a 3 minute recovery between each one. And on the 2nd mile. I felt a little eh feeling like usual after running harder. But 1.5 miles cool down. And weights today. Good day of training for track!

Afternoon- 5 miles with the team on trail tuesday. I lead the first 2.5 miles, until we flipped it. And the trail had a lot of uphill, and down hill. But good run. It was fun as well.

Afternoon- 2 mile warm up. Cosmin test. 4x60 seconds hard, with recovery 3 mins, 2, 1. And its quick, quick, quick. My total distance was 1,496 meters. 2 mile cool down. I am really ticked off because my finger is nearly broken. It's just jammed really bad. And the size of both my thumbs put together! And now I have a blister. Other than that. I wouldn't be mad.

Morning- 2 mile warm up. I was pacing Paul, and Nick for their 5k St. George (half marathon). But they started out, and I jumped in about 250 meters up the road. My goal pace was 5:17 for LT pace. But I got closer this time. :) It took me a while to get into it mentally. But the tempo was only 15 minutes. I averaged 5:35 for the whole tempo. It was smooth and strong. I wasn't mentally into till about the 1st mile. And then the second mile was alright. I thought a little negativity. But then immedatiely kicked it out, and felt amazing after that. This work out was a success! 1 mile cool down.

Morning- 1.5 mile warm up. 4x1600 meter repeats with 3 minute recovery between each one (basically 1 lap recovery). So I felt alright on the warm up. The lack of sleep the last couple of days have been harsh lately. Espeically today... But first one was 5:40 I didn't even check my spilts. I thought nothing of it. And then the 2nd one was 5:32, felt quicker on this one. 3rd 5:33 felt eh. And the last one I felt terrible beyond terrible. But I still managed to pull of a 5:32 somehow. :) So that was cool. And my goal time was 5:29. I would say this work out was a successs after the first one. The first one was not good. But 1.5 mile cool down. I felt even worse on the cool down. But then had weights. Those were alright. But got home, and ate some food. Than I felt amazing! :) So the sluggishness is lack of sleep, and food. Work on that this week.

Morning- 3 miles with the team. And yoga after. My knee really killed this morning for some reason. Like it hurt super bad. And bugged me the whole morning.

Afternoon- 5 miles in the desert on random trails. And my knee didnt hurt till about 3 miles into the run. I felt really flat, and sluggish today. I have been sleeping enough, and eating good. But my body just feels eh. My knee hurt really bad the last 2 miles. I iced it tonight, but still hurts. So I will keep on that.

Afternoon- 3.7ish miles warm up. And 18 minutes. Of tempo. Goal pace was 5:37 I went 5:40 average for the tempo. 3.16ish. But my knee hurt today during the warm up. The tempo didn't hurt my knee, but it hurt super bad at the end. I hit the wall at the17 minutes. And started to fall off the pack. But then I kicked and caught back up. 2-3 mile cool down. I cut it one mile short. Because my knee hurt super bad. And I felt like my stomach was going to blow up. It hurt super bad too. And I just felt sick to my stomach....

Morning- Nice and easy 3 miles with book talk. And my knee hurt. But not as much this last couple of days.

Afternoon- 2 mile warm up, and 1x800, and 2x400 with equal recovery. And then 1 mile cool down. And we did those on the old man hills. I got 2:34, and on the 400's I got 1:09, and 1:07. Good times. And my knee didnt hurt at all, which was amazing! And I didn't really do weights. I just benched, did some pulls ups, abs, and push ups. Not much, to usual stuff. But I rolled out really good in the weight room, so thats good.

Morning- 3 miles easy.

Afternoon- 1.5 mile warm up. And 4x1,600 meter repeats goal pace a 5:29 with 3 minute recovery. This work out was extremely hard, but I stayed positive throughout the whole thing, which I usually struggle with. So that was a plus. And I hit all my times consistently. I went 5:25, 5:28, 5:25, and 5:26. I almost died on the last one. I was soo tired. But then 1.5 mile cool down. And then I did weights, but did less weight just to make sure not hurt my knee. But then I got home and slept for 3 hours. I was extremely tired for some reason.

Afternoon- 10 miles total with 24 minutes of AT tempo pace. 3.5 mile warm up. During the tempo my legs just were sluggish and I felt flat. Not fast at all, but it felt like I was pushing super hard like last week. But the pace didn't even show close to it. My average was 5:55 pace. I went 4.05 miles during my total tempo. It wasn't that great. But I won't beat myself up over it. Cooled down to get mileage. And I had a strong finish, so that's great! And I also wasn't relaxed during the tempo. I was actually tight through out my whole body.

I was really tired after, and I felt really light headed after also. I felt awful during school. My running nose was killing me, and I was sneezing like no other. But I thought it was just allergies. 1.5 mile cool down. And weights.

Morning- 3 miles, it felt really hard, and my breathing was way off. Yoga after. I felt eh this morning.

Afternoon- 5.5 miles? On some trail. I had no idea what was going on during practice today. I just felt tired, sluggish, and sick to my stomach. I was in the back the first mile of the run, which never happens. And once I hit the top of the trail, I was just breathing way hard. So I knew something was up. And on the way back, I struggled big time. I thought I was just being a wimp for a long time. Till about 0.5 mile left, I just had nothing in me. By the end of the run, I had a huge headache, and couldn't breath, my throat just burnt. Not a good day of feeling well.

I decided finally just to give it one more day (today), and just play it safe. I feel much better from Tuesday, but not completly.

Morning- Was there for the team book discussion, and got me thinking a little about running in different ways. And now I think some of the ideas are outragous, but for sure accomplishable, if you put yourself to the committment, and dedication.

Afternoon- I talked to some people, and I decided to attend DSU, and run there. I worked out the little details to run. And I am planning on running there in college, so that's pretty sweet.

Afternoon- 1.5 mile warm up. 4x1,600 meters at 5:16 pace. With 3 minute recovery between each one. I felt really good today. I hit 5:25, 5:23, 5:19, and 5:21. I really focused on pushing the first curves, and the back stretch. And it worked for the most part. And 1.5 mile cool down. After stretched and rolled really good. And then I went to Wendy's with David, Preston, Bryan, and Logan. Yum. :)

Morning- Nice and easy 3 miles. Yoga was good too.

Afternoon- 2 mile warm up. Got my spikes on and just focused on pushing the 200 part (first curve, and back stretch). First lap was 1:09, and then 1:13 pace died a lot. So I came by the 800 meter mark at 2:22, and then the 3rd was 1:13 again coming by at a 3:35. I felt ok about that. But that needs a lot of work. And then in my mind I just kept thinking 60 seconds for the last lap. And my 1,200-1,400 meters was really fast or felt like a was flying. I really pushed here. I passed Colton and Nick here. And then on the last 200 I pushed as hard as I could. And then the last 100 meters Nick comes flying by me, and I tried matching his pace, but he got me by a WHOLE second. I tried my best the last lap. And I only finished at a 4:44. But it's a start! And my 2nd half was a 2:22. So even splits was good. 2 mile cool down after. 8x100 meters striders after. And then had weights. And then went to Dixie to talk to the Coachs about joining the team. And so far I think I am on the roster! So that's sweet!

But I didn't have a total time running, so I just went for distance. And I thought I would end at 4.15 miles, so I did. And I went a little over 24 minutes of tempo. But my average pace was 5:52. Better than 2 weeks ago for the 24 minute tempo. I was sick last week's tempo, so I improved. 2.5 mile cool down. My body and legs hurt really bad after. So I stretched and rolled with all my heart after.

Morning- Nice and easy three miles. Felt good.

Afternoon- I figured out today was 200's instead of trail run, so I wore my virrata's again. 1.5 mile warm up, 16x200's equal recovery goal pace was :34 seconds. I was wearing my garmin to get splits, but it went all whack on me (I set it up wrong). So I just timed off other boys. I assume all my splits were from 32-34's for most of them. Probally a lot of 33's, and towards the end 32's, 31's, and maybe 30's. 1.5 mile cool down. Stretched and rolled out some, but not as much as I should be doing. And I felt pretty bad after the cool down. Like throwing up, but then I did core exercises, and I felt a little better. And I watched some Rocky Balboa, so I feel almost inspired, "It's not about how hard you can hit! It's about how hard you can and keep movin' forward, it's how much you can take, and keep movin' foward! that's how winnin' is done!"

I once on pace for about 1.45ish miles, and then I just backed off mentally. And I dropped down to 5:35's, instead of 5:15's-5:20's. My average pace was 5:30ish. There were some hills, and a crazy wind today... Cooled down till mileage. Weights were good.

Morning- Warmed up 2 miles. Ran the 9k, which was supposed to be 5.8 miles. But instead the leader person pacing on the bike thing turned the wrong way. And it ended up being almost 5 miles. We cut off a while mile basically. I expected atleast 1 more mile, and then we just finished all of a sudden. Once we took the wrong turn I could tell we were going the wrong way. I just naturally slowed down, because I was considering turning around. But my average pace was like 5:50-:54ish. I really don't know my average. But it just felt like a work out. Nothing more. I was mad about the course being cut short. So, I ran with some of the other guys doing the half for 4 miles. Jogged in between, and then would run with them for 0.25-0.5 for like 5:30 pace. So like a fartlek. So basically 6 or 7  miles of tempoish today.

Afternoon- WOW! 3 miles with 8x100 meter strides. Legs felt pretty good, considering I only ran the 9k last week. I felt pretty good. But it's getting a little too warm now... But I will learn to get used to it. And then had weights after the run. I also did the 110 Meter hurdles (hurdles were at lowest setting I think). But I only ran a 21.43! Ha! That's why I don't do hurdles, but I am ready to tear up the 200 tomorrow! >:D

Afternoon- 6 miles with 4 farklets, to be honest they were all hard! I really struggle with "going fast". Like ALL OUT, speed, sprinting, whatever you call it. We were going fast on the farklets. And I went hard, and it was hard! Did a 200 for the decathon and got 26.64? And then I was like that's soo slow or me! So I tried again, and got 27! Haha! I was slower! But I was breathing hard core after the 2nd one. I am not in speed shape like 800 sprinting or killer mile! But once I am, I know, I am going to kill it! I believe! :)

Morning- 3 miles nice and easy.

Afternoon- 2 mile warm up. Kosmin text (60 seconds hard, 3 minute recvoery, 60 seconds hard, 2 minute recovery 60 seconds hard, 1 minute recovery, and then one and final hard 60 seconds!). My total distance was 1502 meters. I felt good and solid on the first one, and the second I felt ok. Started to get super tight, and tired. I really tried pushing on the third one, and didn't make much ground on the leaders. Last one hurt bad, but I tried pushing through and made a move at the back stretch, but shortly died out, and just kinda pushed it in as much as I could. My goal was to get 1,500. And I hit 1,502 so I was happy about that. Did the 100 twice today, because I was mad at my time, but I was slower again the 2nd time! :) HA! So after that I went on a 2.1ish mile cool down with Trevor, and I was really ticked about my work out, because I always talk about how I don't reach my full potential in anything. And Trevor talked to me about some ideas he uses, and did in high school. Had weights after. I was really mad during these, and I pumped as hard as I could with all I had!! I had a huge aderline! And then I stretched and rolled for 15 minutes, and it felt like it didn't do much... Time to start figuring out why I still run, and why I do.

First personal problems, and then I go to the Boys Basketball game in Cedar, and some idiot hits my car putting a HUGE bump into my front bumper! And I am still ticked! What kind of idiot backs up into a car parked 10 feet away from them, and actually does damage and then!!! Doesn't put any info about them to fix the vehicle! So someday I will avenge people that do that! They will ALL PAY!!!!

Goal pace was 1:09, but there was bit of a wind today, and just hard to breath a little (due to rain). But I felt tired after this work out. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was. Cooled down 2.25 miles. And I think I had a good work out for the weather conditions. Tough day.

Afternoon- 11.75 miles total. Did pacing for the Lake to Lake relay. I paced the girls leg 6 (5.15 miles), Average pace was 7:05. Not too bad. Next leg had tons of hills, and the "Beasty Hill", but that was 5.85 miles and average pace for that was 6:45 with the hills. So a bit of a struggle. And then 0.75 mile cool down. Good run, but not exatly easy.

Afternoon- 5 miles with striders. Ran up ice house. I remeber this being the worse hill ever, but it wasn't as bad as I thought even though I walked for 5 meters getting close to the top... I am just not very motivated to do anything running wise. Just kinda doing it, because I have nothing else to do? This attitude is killing me, has been for quite sometime now.

Morning- Nice and easy 3 miles. Well.... Not really slow, but it was rather fast. And I was being annoying this morning!

Afternoon- 2 mile warm up, 12x400's (beast work out), goal pace @ 1:09, 2 mile cool down, and then some core stuff. Times were 1:13, :11, :11, :11, :09, :09, :10, :11, :09, :10, :08, and :06. Really tough work out. I was more happy with last week's 400's because I was having better placing, but this work out was a lot better, and faster than last week. So I really can't complain there. I was just really negative while running the work out, besides the last mile on the cool down. I am such a bum lately! Oh well, I will get through it like always! As I use to say as my positive self, "Builds character to go through hard things!" And recovery was 2 minutes after each one.

Morning- 2 mile warm up. 6x400's at 800 race pace goal time 1:01.5!! With 2 minute recovery jog. Times were 1:03, :06, :08, :07, :06, and :09. The last one my legs basically couldn't move, and I remeber track not being this hard. But track is way harder than anything else. 2 mile cool down. Legs felt like concreate after the 400's. And then we had plyos, and those took like 20 minutes. And then my legs felt like more concreate. 

Afternoon- 3 miles out on turtle trail. Running up the huge hill hurt my legs from the 400s this morning. Good run and nice temps.

Morning- 2 mile warm up. Old man hill repeats 800, 400, 200 (3 set). Equal recovery like distance for each one. My legs were flatter than ever today. And they my quads were just jello the whole run, and hurt at first, and at the end. Times were 2:47 (800), 1:17 (400), :38 (200), first set was just eh legs were tired, and so was body. This is where I started to get into it more. 2:44, 1:16, and :37. Last set I was really tired, and just wanted to be done. I struggled on the last 200 meters on the 800. But then Coach inspired me by saying, "Are you gonna let an old man be you?!?" And that gave me motivation. And time 2:40. 1:14, and :34 (almost 33). 2 mile cool down. My calves were really on fire at the end, and my throat was burning super bad... But it was for sure a great work out! 

Afternoon- 3 miles a little faster than yesterday, but same route in the desert not as far, and then I just added at the end.

Morning- 3 miles a little quicker I would say. I kept pushing the pace for some reason. Plyos were interesting as always.

Afternoon- Well... 2 mile warm up, and then the work out (4x1600's) goal pace 5:16. 3 minute recovery in between each one (400 meter lap). First one was actually alright, 5:26. And then I felt that was a ok start, for sure better start than the last couple of weeks. And then the 2nd one I starting feeling weird, like a stomach pain I thought it was nothing out of the ordinary. Finished at a 5:32 eh.... And then I felt horrible and just thought I had to use the bathroom, but I just thought suck it up your in a work out. And then first lap was on pace, next lap way off, next lap even more off, and last lap I was basically jogging, until 300 left. So I picked up the pace a lot, and started hurting like a beast in my stomach. At 1,450 I saw what was coming. 1,500 it started to come, at 1,535 I threw up too many times..... I got all dizzy and couldn't see for a while and it was nasty... And smelled nasty! You don't need to know more detail than that! It took me a while to recover to actually walk again even. I was ticked out of my mind! Right in the middle of a work out, and I throw up! I actually felt better after that, but horrible at the same time. I was soo mad I wasn't able to finish the work out. I barley finished the cool down (2 miles). I nearly died, my stomach hurt soo much. And then weights were interesting as well. The pain was still there, but I just ignored it. Not exactly what I call a "Perfect Day" of anything. Just adds another thing of my list today that frustrates me. But the 3rd repeat at 1,535ish was 5:30. Haha, I stopped my watch when I started throwing up that cracks me up, guess it was reflex to stop the watch when stopping. Ha.

Afternoon- Did the race relays as a work out. I ran the 4x100, 200 in medley, 4x800, 4x400, and the 400 in the distance medley. I ran :58, and :56 for the 400's. 26ish for the 200, and 13ish for the 100. And 2:12 for the 800. Did a cool down, instead of getting snow cones with the team. I felt more dedicated to running, than friends! I cooled down with Cam for most of it. Then did core exercises after.

Morning- Woke up, had a great breakfast. Did one mile to shake out the legs a little. Finally warmed up 2 miles. And then got my sticker, put my spikes on, and before I knew it. They almost started the race without me!!!

Race Report- I was all nerve racked, because I almost missed my heat. And so I got on the line, and then they fired the gun (this all happened within 20 seconds). So I wasn't really mentally in it at the start. First 200 was 30/31. Terrible start. Came by the 400 at 64 (1:04) no buneo first lap. I realized I had to start moving to get a good time. So I made a beast move on the back stretch and really got moving. But then at 200 left some kid cut me off really bad, and killed my momentum. And I basically just finished the race again at 2:07.75... Ugh, another attempt not what I wanted at all. I talk, and talk about how I will do stuff. I basically have 3 more chances of qualifying for state. And they are not to be wasted. So let's see where that takes me. Cooled down to get mileage. And the trip was just amazing, I had a blast, and was well worth it all! And we saw Shumway on the way home!!

Race Report- I took out fast, first 200 was 28, solid pace. First lap was 1:01. Perfect! Came by the 600 meter mark at 1:32ish. Tried pushing it in. Got a time of 2:05.94!!! S.R.! I am going to keep my momentum going! I am pumped! My speed is turning over! It's time! Did a 0.75 mile cool down. Then jumped into my work out immediatley. 1.4ish miles in 8:08. I threw up on this at the start, but was surprised I even ran that. The mile was better. I was told it was 1.1 miles, and I ran that in 5:50. Then the 300's I ran :43, and 42! Fastest 300's ever! Cooled downed to get mileage!

I tried my best to catch Stansbury, but by home stretch he had me, and unitah, and some other school caught up to me. And they ended up passing us, because my hand off with our 3rd guys sucked. Last race ever through out high school. Pretty sad that it has ended. But glad also for some reason. Cooled down 0.25 miles.
