Race: PV Time Trial #1 (2 Miles) 00:11:17, Place overall: 2, Place in age division: 2
Total Distance
10.00

Morning- Today was a time trial. At our home course. It constited of three laps. 1,200 twice, and one 800 lap. I thought of it as a work out not race, other wise I get nervous.

Race Report- I took out with Colton, Kyler, Paul, and Nick. Reed was in the mix too for the first bit. But I just held in the pack for the first lap, and coming by at 4:16. First lap was good. But people fell off. So now it was just Kyler, Colton, and I. Colton fell off on the second lap. And I started to get a little tired, so I surged with Kyler, and help pushed the pace. Finishing the second lap at 8:39 (4:23 1,200). Pace slowed down a little, but not too much. And than I started to push the pace, because Kyler started to fall off pace, and I had to push the pace, because he wasn't anymore really. I created a gap, but not a very big one. My goal was to win this time trial. Or atleast lead it, and for the most part I did. I really tried pushing the pace the last part, but the legs were tired, and I started my kick over by the hill. Kyler like jumps up the hill. It's insane! But Kyler as a killer kick, and I finished it in strong, and Kyler got me by 0.8. So I barely lost to him. I am glad we pushed each other. And it feels like I care more about my teammates racing well, rather than me. Because I kept on encouraging them. But I still pushed myself pretty good. I was only 8 seconds off my P.R. on this course. And it's not even the start of the season yet. So that's a good sign. And Abel, and Byron were not here either to push the pace. So this was a good leading experience for Kyler, and I. Good race overall. I just gotta work on my death sprint at the end.

Afternoon- 3 miles with David. It was pretty hot, but a little cooler, because we went at 5:15ish. And it was tough, because I had huge side cramps, and had to stop for a little...
