Morning- WOW!! Tough work out today for sure! 2.5 mile warm up. 6x1 mile repeats with 3 minute recovery in between each one. 2 mile cool down. But goal time was 6:20. The 800 meter course loop consists of a little hill, and a lot of grass. But makes it tougher for me. Anyways. Coach wanted this as more of a progressive work out. Start out slower, and get faster as we go. So times were 6:26, 6:24, 6:19, 6:22 (I died off on this one), 6:13, and coach told us to push it in hard. And I finished it with a 5:51 last mile. I was proud of myself for this work out! I almost felt like fainting on the cool down, but I loosened up after a mile on it. And the car wash went pretty amazing today! We washed tons of cars, and eanred tons of tips! :)

Afternoon- 3 miles easy with David just around the neighborhood. It was good, but I was kinda stuggling, due to not stretching this morning. So I stretched good after this run. And it felt good. I was feeling my legs, and they feel strong!

Morning- Nice and easy 3 miles this morning. I was pretty tired this morning.

Afternoon- 1.5ish mile warm up. 3x2 mile tempo sets today on the region course. It was a progressive tempo. So each one got faster, and the 2nd mile on each one was supposed to be faster. I did arlight on the 1st one, miles were 6:28, and 6:14. 5 minute recovery between each one. It was super humid, and hot today. But the 2nd set I couldn't get myself going. First mile was 6:20, and the last one mile on this one was not solid, but 6:21. I fell of pace a lot on this one. And the last one, I just said,"go for it!". So I did. I really tried my best on this one, and hit 6:18 on 1st mile, and the 2nd mile coach ran with me, and got me going a little. And I surprisingly surged with him everytime he went faster. And the pace got faster, and faster, and faster. And I made a move with 300 meters to go, and pushed it in hard with a 5:59.58! :D That sub six made me pretty happy on that grass, and on the last set, and the last mile! I then watched the race, and some great races that came from PV today! But I ended up doing around a 3 mile cool down to get mileage in. Good work out for sure! It is building confidence! :)

Morning- Nice and easy 3 miles this morning. Legs felt heavy...

Afternoon- 6 miles with striders. Today was supposed to be a recovery run, and it didn't feel like it at all. It felt like we were flying. And we were not really going that fast. I complained a little about not being a recovery, but it bascially was. We ran up foremaster, and that hill was pretty killer the last 200 meters just running up it, but good run. Striders were rather fun as well! I felt soo tired today, and sluggish. But I managed through.

Morning- Nice and solid 3 miles this morning! I felt a little better this morning, because I basically blacked out from 6:30-9:30 (p.m.) As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out. And I was then up for another hour or so. And out again for the night. My body really needed the rest. But it felt great! Plyo's were good as well.

Afternoon- 1.5 mile warm up today. And 1/1's today or 60/60's today. I struggled today, I don't know if it was due to the heat, or just feeling eh the last couple of days. But I felt like I had a pretty good work out. I was supposed to run 12 cones each one (300 meters) about. And I did 12 repeats. I was honestly dead by the 10th one today, and usually that doesn't happen till 11-13. So I don't know what is up with my body lately. But it's just feels soo beat up. During the day no energy, and just tired. I am eating, and hydrating enough. But sleep is lacking a little, so I will work on that part! 1 mile cool down. Good work! Taking some positives with this work out is: I started out faster, even the first 5. And I picked up the pace when it was slacking (taking my turn to lead), and pushed through the sluggish legs, and body! So I am oroud of myself, but today I had to use the bathroom way too many times today... It was a joke. And had weights after. Those were good.

Afternoon- 2.5 mile warm up. 6x1 mile repeats, 3 minute recovery, and 2 mile cool down. Times were 6:33, 6:22, 6:11, 6:12, 6:03, and 6:04. Good work. Made my go to the limit.

Morning- Nice and easy 3 miles.

Afternoon- 1.5 mile warm up. 1/1's today. I had to go 12 cones (300 meters) in 60 seconds, and get 60 second recovery. Covering half the distance of that. I did all 15 repeats. And physically, and mentally had to make myself do the last few, and literally push myself the last one. I was very tired after, and felt accomplished, but yet eh. 0.75 mile cool down.

Morning- Nice and easy 3.

Afternoon- Michegans today. I wanted "A" standard, but unfortunatley my IT band was bugging me, but that's not excuse to see what I got... 1.5 mile warm up. Took out the first 800 at 2:45. Good start, and just died off. Total time was 25:49. It was alright, not what I wanted but I will fling back from this and try harder! 1 mile cool down. And I attempted striders, but my IT band hurt too bad. So I only did 4...

Morning- No morning run this morning, due to my IT band, but I did end up stretching, rolling, and icing for about an hour. And did some core.

Afternoon- 5 miles easy with 4x200's. My IT band did hurt the first mile, and loosened up the last few miles, and didn't really hurt, but I could tell it was still there. During the 200's. I felt a little surge of pain the first one, but nothing big. And finished them up, with not much pain.

Afternoon- 3 miles easy at the state course. IT band didn't hurt too bad, but had a little fire in it.

Race- Really didn't get a warm up in, because they changed the schedule, but did some stride outs, and was tough to get out. I had really no energy today, due to lack of sleep. But I took out alright. Mid pack placing. Once starting out, I was stuck there for about the first mile, and people were just passing me left, and right. But first mile 6:42. Way slower than excepted. Legs were not moving at this point, and I got pretty down on myself mentally... But there was still much too race. And I then came by the 2nd mile without knowing really at 12:32. So my pace speed up, and I really don't know what happened from here. Everything got all blurry, and the legs were tired for some odd reason... But I just kinda jogged in the race. Nothing special, just a fininsh. I did not reach even the potential I had.... I have to start doing that. My IT band hurt a little, but not much. But I just have to keep working hard, and trust the program.

Night- Ran at 8 with the boys (andrew, Abel, Byron, Dave, Krenny, Preston, and I.) Abel, Byron, and I went 10 tonight. I felt pretty good, except my stomach... It hurt a ton, but my legs were tight, and tired, but no pain at all anywhere. So that's good. I didn't feel any pain. We started at the double churches, and worked out up towards the mall section by Starbucks. And flipped it there. I love watching my turn over at night. And others, it's pretty sweet to see! But we talked a lot about life, and it was good to get some of the pressure in life, off of me, and talk openly. Thanks Abel, and Byron! :) But last 0.5 mile we had to "finish hard". And I was in front for about 30 seconds, and Byron, and Abel come by flying by, I was with them for about 30 more seconds than the gap grew a little, but not much. And just finished it in. I was fininshing it around 5:30 pace. Good push.

Morning- Nice and easy 3 miles.
Afternoon- 2.5 mile warm up. 5x1 mile repeats at 93% from the Vv02 test. Goal time 6:04. And make it progressive. So that's what I strived to do. Times were 6:09, 6:14, 6:03, 5:55, and 5:48. I know if I can hit these times in a work out. I can hit 5:20's in a race! So I will stick with the program, and keep trusting it. I am starting to build that confidence that I need to have at this time of season. It's time to start "flipping the burgers". I don't know where that came from, but from my brain.... Anyways. I had a very good work out today, and I am excited for Bob firemen. 2 mile cool down. I felt just amazing on the cool down. Felt like I had a great workout , and was proud of myself. Time for another great work out tomorrow! Weights were good too. I am starting to really get back into the good things into running, once again!

Morning- Nice and easy 3 miles, but the legs felt a little heavy, and sore.

Afternoon- After along day off school, we had a meeting with Mrs. P. And that went well. Gave me something to think about, and let me ponder my thoughts! Today was super hard for me mentally, and yet another great workout, and confidence builder. 1 mile warm up. 3/3's today. Goal distance was 888 meters. I got about 895 meters on the first one, and hit about 875 on the second and third, and 855 on the last one. But I was only able to do 4 of them. They are way harder than 1/1's. Not too meantion the wind. Holy! It was crazy today. But I thought I did good during these. And had 4x30's at "F" pace on the track (all out). And I hit 27-28's for the 200 mark every time. Last one I really had to push, and make myself go. 1 mile cool down. Amazing workout I think. And I got some motivation right now, and it's going very well! But it's a secret what it is! :)

Race Report- I took out confident. And it was fast. First lap was 4:02. And I didn't get the second split, but I decided to go, and I did the last 800, and P.R.ed. Good race. Ready for Bob Firman.

Morning- Woke up ate at the hotel. And drove over to the race. Felt good, and ready to roll. Did a 2 mile warm up, got my spikes and went over the starting line.

Race Report- This part is where I hate. Everyone thinks the first 500 meters if the most important part and takes out at a dead sprint, so I took out pretty well. Anyways. The first 1,000 meters. This kid tripped, and got spiked a lot (he was screaming, like a bloody murder scream!) The pack slowed down a lot, and I found out why. They were jumping over him, and I got pushed over, and tripped, and basically landed on my face. I lost about 5-10 seconds on my time, due to this. And I was mad I fell! I was ticked in fact! And so I started pushing, and elbowing back to kids that pushed me over, when I caught back up to them. I then came around the first lap. Pretty tired, and started moving on the second lap. Falling made me loose a lot of placing, and timing. And the 2 mile marker was 11:00. Which was pretty good, but I wanted it to be around 10:45. So a little faster. But anyways going up the hill was killer, I was pretty tired, and about 800 meters left (a little before the hill) some kid wouldn't let me through, so I elbowed him a little, and he went with me for about 400 meters. And we started having a little elbow fiesta! It started ticking me off, and so I elbowed him back, but then he got me back twice as hard. And I just through a surge in, and never saw him again. But I was really tired, the last 200 meters. I started my kick about 400 to go, and picked up the pace, and then 50 meters left coming down home stretch, I was 4th on the team, and Nick, and Paul come flying by me, at this insane sprint. And beat me by 0.6, and 0.002...... Dang it! I was soo mad, because I got the worst seat on the ride home! >:( But I think this race was a pretty good building step in the right direction. Way better than last race at Herriman. But Live, Learn, and move on. I got spiked on my leg pretty bad, and a lot of blood was drippinp out. And we got interviewed as a team, and that was pretty cool. Team took 14th overall in the Elite Race. Pretty good day. 1 mile cool down.

Morning- 3 miles easy.

Afternoon 2 mile warm up, and race. 1 mile cool down.

Race Report- I took out fairly quick, but not quick enough. First mile was 5:15. And 2nd mile was 11:05. Felt off pace a lot.... Third mile I started making up ground on Kyler, and then as soon as I caught up. I stopped pushing, and then there was 400 meters, and I worked that hard to catch. I just didn't have enough time to recovery. And then he started his kick, an I tried to stay with him. And only managed to stay a few seconds back. But not too far. Pretty good race. 2nd mile needs help. But good race overall.

Morning- Had 2.5 mile warm up, because the boys didn't stop going, and kept on going. Anyways... 3/3's, and 5 hill sprint ups at the big hill on the state course, and 5x125 meter stride outs. Like a start. Sounds easy? It wasn't! I really had to push super hard on the 3/3's getting about 0.59-0.65 on each one. Good push. And then the hill sprints were even harder, and then the strides were even faster, and harder. And by the end I was completly exhausted, and dead. Barely even able to move...

Morning- 3 miles easy. Was a little late, because I slept through my alarm. No harm done in that today. But not a good habit to have.

Afternoon- 1.5 mile warm up, and Michigans (4.25 speed work out!). I thought I did pretty well. It was pretty hot today, but that doens't really affect much. And I stayed mentally relaxed for most of it. Not stressing, or worrying about anything, just running. And it helped me stay positive, and focused. So that's all I have to do in a race, but just get mentally ingaged with the positive fibes (that doens't make sense). But 1 mile cool down. Felt like a good, strong, and solid work out. I started blogging again Finally! :) (Tuesday 10-1-13 work out).

Monday:

Morning- 3 miles easy.

Afternoon- 9.75 2.5 mile warm up, and 1x2 mile at average (best) pace, with 5 minute recovery, and 2x1 mile repeats with 3 minute recovery, times were 11:37 (2 mile), 5:41, and 5:29. 2 mile cool down.
